Repton has refurbished its magnificent block of 12 courts. I produced a report on the state of the courts at the outset of this process.

I was hired by the estates bursar to assess state of the school’s magnificent block of 12 Eton fives courts. I produced a report on the state of the pasterwork, brickwork, flooring, roof and guttering. The resultant refurbishment has restored the block of 12 courts to one of the most splendid in the country. Only Eton and Shrewsbury now boast a larger stock of first class Eton fives courts.
An elegant detail is that the girders and the front wall embellishment, under the blackguard line (a decoration copied from JPR courts at St Bart’s Newbury, Charterhouse and Cambridge (and the new courts at Berkhamsted) are in Repton blue.
